Josep mainly has been treated by his father Jacob in the same manner Jacob's mother treated Jacob - The favorite sun.
Jacob blessed Joseph as he himself had been blessed by his father Isaac instead of his twin brother Esau ... The only difference is that Jacob deceived his Father Isaac with the help of the mother, and he let him believed that he is Esau, who Isac wanted to bless him in the first place.

Tha Pharaoh later had a dream, and Joseph was able to interpret the dream with a an economy advice that saved Egypt and made it the Mother Land that was able to feed the surrounding lands in the bad times.
The advice of Joseph was purely based on economy theories, that were developed later scientifically to be a science that the whole world is dependant on it.
Joseph then was nominated as the Treasurer of Egypt, when he saw his brother came to have their share of food products like others who were coming form different near lands for the same purpose.
Then the dream of Joseph came true when all his family came to Egypt and bowed infront of him.
